Oman had Al Mandhar Rabia Said Al Alawi sent off in the 34th minute but never lost hopes of clinging on to the game. Arshad Al Alawi gave Oman the lead in the 74th minute followed by Ali Al-Busaidi's so-called winner in the 85th minute.
Saudi pulled on back in the 87th minute through Mohamed Kanno but Oman held on to make it to the final. Elsewhere, Oman's opponents Bahrain beat Kuwait 1-0 to make their spot in the final of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
Oman are two-time Gulf Cup champions (2018 and 2009) and three-time runners up. As for Bahrain, they won the cup back in 2019 and are four-time runners-up in the history of the tournament.
