MANILA, Philippines — Kevin Quiambao’s debut in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) ended abruptly after the Filipino forward suffered an ankle injury in the Goyang Sono Skygunners’ home loss to the Seoul SK Knights on Sunday.
Quiambao sprained his right ankle after a bad landing following a three-point attempt with still 7:42 remaining in the second quarter. He did not return as the Skygunners’ took an 84-57 beating at the hands of the league-leading SK Knights.
Article continues after this advertisementThe two-time UAAP MVP out of La Salle finished with six points and a rebound in close to seven minutes of action. He scored his first points in the KBL on a 3-pointer at the 2:50 mark of the first quarter.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) shed 0.49 percent, or 36.67 points, to close at 7,400.33.
In a stock exchange filing on Friday, Ayala said Mitshubishi would get 50 percent ownership in AC Ventures Holdings Corp., which owns 13 percent of fintech unicorn Mynt.

Quiambao immediately took to social media to thank his supporters.

Following his 31-point career night last Friday, Migs Ocson struggled, missing all his six field goal attempts to end up with two points, three rebounds, and two assists and two steals in the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus’ rout of Wonju DB Promy, 94-69.

Ulsan remained at No. 2 with a 20-8 slate as KBL MVP Ethan Alvano’s 20-point effort wasn’t enough for Wonjusure win ph, which slid to 13-15.
